2009 NFL Preseason Week 3 Predictions: This weekend will feature a full lineup of NFL preseason play with nine games on Saturday and a Sunday Night Football tilt between the Bears and Broncos. New Orleans Saints: The Saints moved their preseason record to 2-02009 NFL Preseason Week 3 Predictions last Saturday night by pounding the Houston Texans 38-14 at Reliant Stadium. New Orleans, which had 28 first downs and 420 yards of offense in the win, saw quarterback Drew Brees complete 9-of-14 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Head Coach Sean Payton had many things to be pleased about, but newly acquired running back Mike Bell's 100 yards on 10 carries had to be at the top of the list.

Oakland Raiders: The Raiders suffered a narrow loss to Bay Area rival San Francisco last Saturday 20-21 at Candlestick Park. While the score was close, the game, at least statistically, showed Forty-Niner dominance. Mike Singletary's squad had 23 first downs and 275 yards rushing against the Oakland defense. Offensively, the Raiders did enough to go into the break with a 7-3 lead. Quarterback JaMarcus Russell had another solid preseason performance, throwing for 76 yards and a touchdown.

Chicago Bears: Lovie Smith and the Bears tried to make a statement last weekend as they came out smoking against the Giants at Soldier Field. Chicago built a 17-3 halftime lead after Jay Cutler threw for 121 yards and a touchdown and running back Matt Forte had 58 yards in nine carries as well as a 32 yard touchdown scamper. The Bears defense also contributed to the victory with five sacks.

Denver Broncos: Head Coach Josh McDaniels endured his second preseason loss over the weekend, falling 13-27 to the Seahawks in Seattle. On a positive note, quarterback Kyle Orton played much better than the three interception effort he had in his Bronco debut. The former Bear signal caller completed 18-of-26 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown. He did, however, toss another pick, which was one of three Denver turnovers in the loss.
