Atlanta Falcons vs Miami Dolphins 2010 NFL Picks, 2010 NFL Odds & 2010 NFL Predictions: Miami and Atlanta will hook up this evening for a week three preseason showdown in the Sunshine State. Tonight's game is set to kickoff at 7:30pm ET at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. 2010 NFL Picks, Odds & Predictions at Sportsbook.com have the exhibition clash listed as a Pick'em; the game total is set at 37.5.

Atlanta saw its preseason record slip to 1-1 last Thursday night with a 28-10 loss to the Patriots at the Georgia Dome. The Atlanta Falcons vs Miami Dolphins 2010 NFL Picks, Odds & PredictionsFalcons had difficulty getting New England off the field on third down as Bill Belichick's squad converted 11 of its 17 opportunities. The Patriots also had success against Atlanta's defense in the red zone, going 2-for-2 inside the Falcons 20.

The poor defensive effort led to a 14-3 halftime deficit for Mike Smith's team. Offensively, Atlanta did not fare much better as Matt Ryan completed 8-of-13 passes for 76 yards and the rushing attack averaged 3.9 yards per carry.

Adding to the woeful evening was a season ending knee injury to rookie wide receiver Kerry Meier. Meier, who starred at Kansas with fellow wideout Dezmon Briscoe, had three catches for 34 yards in the preseason.

Miami improved to 2-0 last Saturday with a 27-26 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins got a 10-7 win over the Buccaneers in their first preseason outing, despite a horrendous offensive performance (10 first downs, 206 yards); however, the team's victory over the Jags was highlighted by an impressive effort from the first stringers.

Quarterback Chad Henne played brilliantly in leading the Dolphins to a 17-9 lead after completing 11-of-14 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns (both to tight end Anthony Fasano). Wide receiver Brandon Marshall also had a nice outing, snagging four passes for 65 yards.

Tonight's game should see the starters from both squads play into the second half as the third preseason contest is usually the final tune up for the first teamers. The Dolphins will have an advantage playing at home, but the first half will probably feature even play with the Falcons starters attempting to shake off two fairly lackluster outings.

2010 NFL Preseason Betting Trend: The Dolphins are 8-2 straight up in the preseason under Head Coach Tony Sparano.
