Redskins vs Jets Lines 2010 NFL Preseason Week 3: The Washington Redskins travel to New York to face the Jets without quarterback Donovan McNabb this Friday at 7 PM ET. The Redskins vs. Jets NFL Betting Point Spread have the Jets at -4 at BETUS.com
Coach Mike Shanahan told the press that McNabb is having some troubles with his ankle so to avoid a major concern he won't play against the Jets; fullback Mike Sellers also will miss the game due to a knee injury. McNabb threw for 206 yards and one interception in the defeat 23-3 against the Baltimore Ravens last week, since then he had his left ankle wrapped as the Redskins opened practice Tuesday afternoon.
The Skins made too many mistakes in the game against the Ravens as they had four turnovers, two fumbles and two interceptions. The replacement QB Rex Grossman threw for 195 yards a one interception; expect him to lead Washington almost the entire game against the New York Jets.
One thing to consider for the NFL betting enthusiastic is that Washington barely ran for 25 yards in 14 attempts and threw for 253 yards, if they continue with this game plan the Jets defense will eat them alive, they should mix up the plays in order to disguise the blitz.
The Jets didn't too impressive either in the victory 9-3 against the Panthers last week. Neither Mark Sanchez nor Kellen Clemens looked sharp against Carolina; instead they seemed disoriented and clumsy at times. Ladanian Tomlinson had a remarkable 8.7 average on his three carries that night. One thing to worry about the Jets is that despite their defense keep looking good, especially after forcing five turnovers from the Panthers offense, their offense doesn't seem to be in the right place yet.
If you are a smart bettor you will take the Jets in this one because their defense is rolling and now they will face Rex Grossman, last time I checked he was still a turnover machine.
