Jacksonville lost another one point nail-biter last week as the Dolphins beat the Jags 27-26 at EverBank Field. Miami 
abused Jack Del Rio's defense in the first half, which led to a 24-12 halftime lead for the Dolphins. Quarterback Chad Henne threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns, helping Miami finish the game with 341 total yards.
David Garrard saw limited action in the loss, but looked good as well after completing six of eight passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. Wideout Mike Sims-Walker was on the receiving end of three of Garrard's six completions, which resulted in a 64 yard night. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew had four carries for negative four yards in the loss.
Jacksonville's first round pick, defensive end Tyson Alualu, made his NFL debut in the contest; he tallied one tackle and a half sack.
The Bucs got a 20-15 win over the Chiefs in their second preseason game, capitalizing on three Kansas Cty turnovers. The victory came at a cost, though, as second year quarterback Josh Freeman injured his thumb and will be out until at least the start of the regular season. Prior to his departure, Freeman completed two passes for 21 yards.
Backup quarterback Josh Johnson, who will get the start tonight, threw for 113 yards and connected with Michael Spurlock on a 53 yard second quarter touchdown that helped Tampa go into the break tied 10-10.
The Buccaneers defense did not have a banner evening, despite the win, giving up 24 first downs and 366 yards to the Chiefs. Kansas City rushed for 152 yards (4.5 ypc) and converted 8-of-17 third down opportunities against the beleaguered unit.
