New York Giants vs Baltimore Ravens 2010 NFL Picks, 2010 NFL Odds & 2010 NFL Predictions: The New York Giants have made the short trek south and are set to face the Ravens in Baltimore this evening. Tonight's game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30pm ET at M&T Bank Stadium. 2010 NFL Picks, Odds & Predictions at Sportsbook.com have the Ravens listed as a -4.5 against the spread home favorite; the Over/Under is set at 37.5 .
The Gaints did not fare well with quarterback Eli Manning out of the lineup last week as they lost 24-17 to the Steelers at
the New Meadowlands Stadium. Third string quarterback Rhett Bomar played the entire game as backup signal caller Jim Sorgi sat out with an injury as well. Bomar completed 13 of his 26 pass attempts for 167 yards and an interception and concluded the night with a lackluster 54.5 passer rating.
The loss could not be hung on Bomar's performance, though, as New York's defense got torched for 23 first downs and 412 yards. The Steelers racked up 161 rush yards and got a big second quarter touchdown as Byron Leftwich hooked up with Mike Wallace on a 68 yard bomb.
New York enters this evening's game nursing numerous injuries; however, Manning, who suffered a gash on his forehead in the team's week one win over the Jets, will start the game and probably play into the second half.
Baltimore improved to 2-0 in exhibition action with a 23-3 win over the Redskins. The Ravens offense posted 23 first downs and 396 yards in the win as the team's trio of quarterbacks (Joe Flacco, Marc Bulger, and Troy Smith) combined to go 28-of-40 for 253 yards. The rushing attack was also effective, totaling 143 yards on 29 carries (4.9 ypc).
The Ravens defense gave up an uncharacteristic number of yards as Washington tallied 390 for the game, yet, it still forced four turnovers and limited Mike Shanahan's squad to 25 rush yards in 14 carries.
Rookie defensive tackle Terrence Cody, he of the famous Senior Bowl pictures, produced two tackles, both of which went for losses, in his professional debut.
2010 NFL Preseason Betting Trend: The Ravens are 7-3 straight up in the preseason under John Harbaugh.
