Favre had four snaps in the only series he played, only completing a 13-yard pass to Adrian Peterson and was sacked once and handed the ball off twice in a 15-10 loss against the San Francisco 49ers in a Sunday night showdown. Replacement QB Tarvaris Jackson didn´t look good either, he only completed 7 of 11 for 43 yards and no touchdowns, in fact, QB Joe Webb was the best dressed as a purple, he even rushed for a TD (the only one for Minnesota) in a 48 yards run. Overall the Vikings had a lot of troubles running the ball but expect AP to have a bigger participation against the Seahawks.
Seattle on the other side lost 27-24 against the Green Bay Packers at home in week two in a game that their defense allowed 421 yards (247 passing and 174 rushing) but maintained the team in the game by forcing three turnovers from the Packers offense.
QB Matt Hasselbeck led his team with 127 yards and one touchdown but his replacement Charlie Whitehurst failed to keep his rhythm and turned the ball over twice, recording also 73 yards and one TD also.
Despite the Vikings are the best team here and also huge favorites in this one, perhaps the best bet are the Seahawks because five points are really hard to cover in a preseason game. Hasselbeck is going to play for three quarters at least, trying to find a pace for the regular season opener that is coming in just two weeks.
Don´t expect Favre to play a whole bunch of minutes; after the sacks in the last game Brad Childress was highly criticized for not taking good care of his 40 year old QB.
