Panthers vs Steelers Lines 2010 NFL Preseason Week 4

by Alonzo Simmons on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Panthers vs Steelers Lines 2010 NFL Preseason Week 4: A pretty nice game to follow this Thursday features de Carolina Panthers taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the last game of the preseason at 7:30 PM ET. The Panthers vs Steelers NFL Betting Point Spread have the Steelers -5.5 at SPORTSBOOK.com.

Both teams had different outcomes in the week as the Panthers got their first win of the year with a 15-7 win over the Tennessee Titans and the Steelers lost 34-17 against the Denver Broncos. Carolina looked good on defense pressuring Vince Young and not letting him played at his best, however neither Matt Moore nor Jimmy Clausen have looked sharp in the preseason, in fact all the offense has been anything but great.

Don't expect Matt Moore to play against Pittsburgh because John Fox will be trying to avoid an injury with just one week away from the season opener but you can expect Jimmy Clause to be more than anxious making risky throws that could easily end up in an easy interception.

On the other side the Steelers will try to shake off after the defeat against the Broncos. One thing you have to realize is that Mike Tomlin hates losing, and I mean losing in whatever he is on, preseason or regular season, he just can stand it; that's why I expect a different look from the Pittsburgh in the game against Carolina.

Neither Byron Leftwich nor Dennis Dixon have been confirmed as the starting QB for the opener against the Atlanta Falcons that's why both players could be having their last shot to show they are worth the risk on week one. Leftwich is too much of a steady QB with an offensive line that has had trouble protecting Bin Ben in the past, meanwhile Dixon has much more movement but his decision making is questionable at times. The best bet here are the Steelers, they are 12-4 straight up under Mike Tomlin's management.
