Denver got its first win of the exhibition season on Sunday night, beating the Steelers 34-17 at Invesco Field. The Broncos 
built a 17-3 first half lead thanks to a sloppy effort from Pittsburgh's Dennis Dixon, who threw two interceptions, including one that was returned 77 yards for a touchdown by Andre Goodman.
Other than the turnovers, the Broncos did not perform that well as the Steelers racked up 355 yards, 175 of which came on the ground (5.8 yards per carry).
The offense, which has averaged 26 points per game in the preseason, managed just 268 total yards and had two turnovers as Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow both threw interceptions.
Minnesota improved to 2-1 over the weekend with a 24-13 home win over the Seahawks. Brett Favre had a dismal return to the Metrodome, completing 16-of-26 passes for 187 yards and two interceptions (51.3 passer rating). Favre also lost a fumble in the first half, which helped Seattle go into the break tied 10-10.
The Vikings defense, as well as a solid second half performance from backup quaterback Sage Rosenfels (5-of-6, 71 yards, one touchdown), helped the team overcome Favre's poor effort. Seattle managed just 13 first downs (converted 2-of-15 third down opportunities) and averaged a paltry 2.9 yards per carry for the game.
