Kansas City maintained its winless preseason record under Head Coach Todd Haley by falling to the Eagles 20-17 last Friday at Arrowhead. Kansas City got off to a horrific start as Philly had a 10-0 lead just three minutes into the game. The Chiefs rebounded and took a 17-14 lead into the final two minutes; however, Eagles rookie Mike Kafka guided Philadelphia to a game winning drive against KC's reserves to keep perfection intact for at least one more week.
Despite the loss, the Chiefs defense played well, sacking Kevin Kolb five times and picking him off once. KC's ground game also showed well, racking up 168 yards on 36 carries. Jamaal Charles tallied 40 yards on six carries while rookie Dexter McCluster, who returned three kicks for 111 yards, gained 47 yards on eight carries.
