Miami turned in a miserable performance in its last game, falling 16-6 at home to the Falcons. The Dolphins had 15 first 
downs and converted just two of 12 on third down in the loss, which was characterized by Chad Henne's 10-for-22, 123 yard, one interception night. Miami's ground game did not fare well either, averaging just 2.6 yards per carry.
The Dolphins defense did show up, limiting Atlanta to 261 total yards in 33:08 of possession time. Several rookies played well for Head Coach Tony Sparano with Nolan Carroll, Austin Spitler, Koa Misi all registering three or more tackles.
Dallas also had a gloomy showing in its last preseason affair as the Texans blasted the Pokes 23-7. The Cowboys offense totaled a mere 239 yards as Tony Romo tossed an interception and lost a fumble, thus reducing the unit's scoring opportunities.
The defense saw the Texans rack up 24 first downs and 381 yards while averaging 4.8 yards per carry on the ground (173 yards on 36 carries).
The Cowboys poor efforts has Head Coach Wade Phillips contemplating playing his starters in tonight's preseason finale, something he has not done since arriving in the Big D.
"We didn't play (Houston) like we are ready for the regular season," Phillips said.
