The Chiefs have lost against Atlanta Falcons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles so far, all of those games in really tight scoreboards. The Kansas City defense has played in a decent kind of way but Matt Cassel has not shine yet in this preseason managing the offense, in fact his only good game was against the Bucs when he threw for 125 yards and one touchdown but let´s be honest it was against Tampa. Cassel is expected to start the game against the Packers but Brodie Croyle should get most of the minutes on the field, don´t look forward to to see Jamaal Charles or Thomas Jones a lot of time on the playing field, it doesn´t worth the risk at this point.
As for the Packers they will be trying to end this preseason stage looking for a last time at some value players that might make the cut if they play good at Kansas City. Green Bay backup Matt Flynn will have a lot of opportunities to show against the Chiefs that he is worth a NFL position at this Packers team; Flynn was the only replacement Aaron Rodgers had last season. Keep in mind he is a pretty good backup that shows a lot last week when he threw for 80 yards and two scores in the victory 59-24 over the Indianapolis Colts.
Flynn should be able to dominate the Chiefs substitute defense on Thursday, he is a confident QB that already knows he won a spot on the team, expect him to play lose and with a lot of security. Take the Packers and the points in this game plus the under.
