Tampa Bay fell to 1-2 in the preseason over the weekend with a 19-13 loss to Florida rival Jacksonville. The Bucs offense

Tampa did, however, build a 10-6 lead at the break after backup signal caller Josh Johnson, who got the start in place of the injured Josh Freeman (broken thumb, but is on pace to return for the season opener), completed 9-of-14 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Rookie wide receiver Mike Williams out of Syracuse had a big night as well, reeling in three catches for 83 yards.
The Buccaneers defense saw the Jaguars finish the game strong, posting 16 second half points as the team racked up 21 first downs and 396 yards for the game. The team's first two picks in this year's draft, defensive tackles Gerald McCoy and Brian Price, combined for one tackle and two quarterback hits.
Houston got its first win of the preseason last Saturday with a dominating performance against the Dallas Cowboys. The Texans won the game 23-7 and led 13-0 at the break after quarterback Matt Schaub threw for 183 yards and a touchdown. Schaub's effort helped Houston total 24 first downs and 381 yards for the game.
The Texans defense, which picked off Tony Romo and also forced a fumble out of him, held the Cowboys to 17 first downs and 239 yards.
Houston got good news off the field this week too as injured tight end Owen Daniels returned to the practice field. Daniels, who sustained a torn ACL last season, further injured the knee during rehab, which prohibited his participation in the Texans' training camp.
