San Diego Chargers: The Chargers fell to 1-2 in exhibition play last
Saturday, losing 24-27 to Atlanta at the Georgia Dome. Despite the loss, Norv Turner's team had its way on offense in the first half, building a 21-13 halftime lead.
Quarterback Phillip Rivers continued his near flawless preseason play, completing 10-of-15 for 185 yards and a touchdown. Rivers was instrumental in leading San Diego to 261 first half yards and three 75 plus yard touchdown drives.

San Francisco 49ers: Mike Singletary's bunch worked their record to a perfect 3-0 on Saturday by getting past the Cowboys 20-13 in Dallas. The Forty-Niners showing was a near opposite of the Chargers as they trailed 10-3 after an unimpressive first half.
Starting quarterback Shaun Hill had a lackluster outing, completing just nine of his 17 pass attempts for 79 yards. There were positives on offense, though, as rookie quarterback Nate Davis hit on 10-of-15 for 132 yards. Running back Glen Coffee continued his torrid preseason run too, catching three passes for 27 yards while rushing eight times for 34 yards.
