AFC South division rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, are scheduled to open their seasons in a skirmish at LP Field in Nashville, TN. The game kicks off at 1:05pm ET and can be seen on CBS. NFL Week 1 odds at Sportsbook.com are favoring the Jaguars on the road at a -3 spread. Last year the Jacksonville Jaguars continued to improve under Head Coach Jack Del Rio. Although they finished second in the division behind the Colts, they still compiled an impressive 11-5 record and they scored a big playoff win on the road in Pittsburgh. The team comes into this season with some lofty expectations, but they will need quarterback David Garrard to duplicate last season's performance and the receiving corps to step up if they are to overtake Indianapolis as the lead dog in the AFC South. Last season, Tennessee finally realized the results of a rebuilding project that began several years ago. Head Coach Jeff Fisher directed his team back to the playoffs after a long absence only to be quickly dispatched by the San Diego Chargers. This year the Titans return 18 of 22 starters from the 2007 season and they will look to build on last year's accomplishments. Quarterback Vince Young's continued evolution as a passer and an improvement in his ability to read defenses will be key for the Titans post-season hopes. Key Matchup: Both team's have good ground attacks and they both have good rush defenses as well. Whoever establishes the run and maintains it will be the victor in this contest. NFL Week 1 Trend: The over is 6-3-1 in the last 10 games between these division rivals. Sportsbook.com's NFL Week 1 Odds for the Jaguars vs Titans: Jaguars -3 (-110), Over 36.5 (-110), -150 (Money line) Titans +3 (-110), Under 36.5 (-110), +130 (Money line) Get on board for an entire season of NFL Picks; we are prepped and ready to storm through the 2008 NFL schedule.
