The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens jump start their seasons with an AFC North tussle at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD. The game starts at 1:05pm ET and will be televised on CBS. The Bengals, winners of seven games last year, are a -2 NFL Week 1 predictions road favorite at Bodoglife.com. Not much went right for the Bengals in 2007. The team had fairly high expectations entering the year, but poor defensive play and locker room issues sabotaged the team's chemistry and led to a third place finish in the AFC North. There still appear to be some potential landmines on Cincinnati's roster, but there is some talent too. If the defense can improve, Marvin Lewis' squad could find themselves in the mix for the division title. The offense is certainly capable of putting points on the board, but they will need injured receiver Chad Johnson to stay healthy. The Ravens also had a dismal 2007, and they too came into the season expecting some big things. This year the franchise will debut a new head coach and the team is almost certain to take its fair share of lumps. First round pick Joe Flacco will start at quarterback for the club and he will need the Raven defense to show up big if they are to stay in many games. That, frankly, is a concern after the vaunted unit allowed 24 points per game last year. Key Matchup: The Ravens front seven will have to get pressure on Carson Palmer or he will pick them apart. Samari Rolle and Chris McAlister have been good corners for a long time, but they will have their hands full with Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
