The Dallas Cowboys will attempt to get their season off on the right foot at Cleveland Brown Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns are hoping to do the same and in the process work their way towards the playoffs that they so narrowly missed a season ago. The game starts at 4:15pm ET and can be seen on Fox. NFL Week 1 Picks at Looselines.com are favoring the Cowboys -6 on the road. Dallas finished last year at 13-3 and looked to be the NFC favorite to reach the Super Bowl. Their fellow NFC East brethren in New York squashed those opinions by beating the Cowboys in the playoffs. Jerry Jones team returns 19 starters from last season, including all the major components to an offense that averaged 28.4 points per game. The defense returns 10 starters and they added longtime Dolphin Zach Thomas to an already solid linebacking corps. The Cleveland Browns were a big surprise lsat year, going 10-6 and finishing ahead of the Bengals and Ravens in the AFC North. They are favored to do the same this year, adding pressure to a team that desperately needs their defense to step up. Some off-season additons to the defensive line could make a big difference; Browns officials are counting on it. The offense should be ready to roll, just as it did last year in cranking out 25.1 points per game. Key Matchup: The pressure would seem to be on the Browns beleaguered secondary, but actually, the Cowboys secondary could face the bigger challenge on the road. Starting cornerback Terrence Newman could be out for this game and that means the newly reinstated Adam Jones will see a lot of action against Braylon Edwards and Dante Stallworth. Jones has not seen game action in almost two years and covering these two will not be easy. NFL Week 1 Trend: The Over is 7-3 in Cleveland's last 10 as a home dog of -4 to -7.5. Looselines.com's NFL Week 1 Picks for the Cowboys vs Browns: Cowboys -6 (-110), Over 49 (-110), -255 (Money line) Browns +6 (-110), Under 49 (-110), +215 (Money line) Get on board for an entire season of NFL Picks; we are prepped and ready to storm through the 2008 NFL schedule.
