The St. Louis Rams are set to mix it up on Sunday with an NFC East foe, the Philadelphia Eagles. The game kicks off at 1:00pm ET at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. St. Louis is coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history, going 3-13 and finishing dead last in the NFC West. Nothing went right for the Rams in Head Coach Scott Linehan's second season leading the team and he will need to get things headed in the right direction pretty quickly as the vultures are already starting to swirl. St. Louis has some big weapons on offense in quarterback Marc Bulger, wide receiver Torry Holt, and running back Steven Jackson but that did not seem to help last season as injuries and offensive line issues stalled the offense. The team brought in offensive guru Al Saunders to help correct the problems and get the most out of the talent that is already in place. The Eagles are also coming off a down year, but Andy Reid's team still managed to get eight wins. However, they did not make they playoffs and they finished last in a tough NFC East. The club appears to have addressed last seasons shortcomings and they should be in the mix with the Cowboys and Giants for the division title. Quarterback Donovan McNabb could have another weapon on offense in second round pick DeSean Jackson. Jackson played exceptionally well in the pre-season and he brings another big play element to the team. Key Matchup: Steven Jackson will need to get the Rams ground game going against a tough Philadelphia front seven. Jackson missed the entire pre-season in a holdout so he may have a difficult time doing that. If he cannot, Marc Bulger will have a tremendous amount of pressure on his shoulders.
