Raiders vs Titans Odds 2010 NFL Week 1 Predictions: Two teams that could fly under the radar this season clash on Sunday at 1 PM ET at LP Field when the Oakland Raiders take on the Tennessee Titans in the opener. The Raiders vs. Titans NFL Betting Point Spread have the Titans at -6.5 at SBGGlobal.com
The Raiders ended the 2009 season with a 5-11 record that includes great wins against the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers among others. But Oakland has begun the 2010 NFL season with two great draft picks in LB Rolando McClain and guard Bruce Campbell that are trying to change the recent luck of the Raider Nation right away. Also they got rid of QB JaMarcus Russell and brought in Jason Campbell to make some plays on the offensive side of the ball.
Expect the Raiders offense to be a little better against the run with McClain in the middle of the defense after finishing 29th stopping the run last season, however expect them to have some real issues against the best running back in the game, Chris Johnson.
On offense Campbell will give the ball to Michal Bush at first but he will be facing the 11th best rushing defense in 2009, so it won't be an easy task running against the Titans. If Coach Tom Cable has trouble running the ball they will immediately change to throwing the ball downfield, especially if you notice the Titans D was second last year defending the pass. However I wouldn't expect this unit to be as bad as it was last season, Oakland have some true playmakers and despite their horrible 2009 season they were able to intercept 20 passes from opponents QBs.
On the other hand Coach Jeff Fisher's game plan is very simple, he will give the ball to his best player, Chris Johnson, until he gets stop by the Raiders, when that takes place it will be the turn of QB Vince Young to make something happen. Young is getting better with his throwing mechanics starting to improve but also you should keep in mind he ended last season with an 8-2 record is 26-13 as starter for this franchise.
The Raiders are 15-17 ATS in all games played over the last three season and the Titans are 18-13 ATS. Tennessee is also 5-2 ATS in September games and 9-6 ATS in home games over the past three years and 4-1 straight up against Oakland since 1992.
