While New England would probably never admit it, the bitter taste of that loss is probably still lingering, particularly for Brady, who tossed three interceptions.
Cincinnati also enters this game and season with something to prove after having last year's North title roundly discounted as an aberration. A win over the Patriots at Gillette Stadium would definitely raise a few eyebrows and, perhaps, force a few naysayers to acknowledge that the Bengals were no pretender to the divisional throne.
The team should be improved this season if its defense continues to play at the same level it did last year as quarterback Carson Palmer has a few new weapons to utilize on offense. Cincinnati signed wide receiver Terrell Owens over the summer and it also drafted two receiving threats in tight end Jermaine Gresham and wide out Jordon Shipley.
