Bears Breakdown: Contrary to popular opinion or public perception, 
the Bears defense is a rapidly declining unit. Last season they ranked 21st in yards allowed, 16th in points allowed, 30th in passing yards allowed, and 22nd in sacks. If those numbers do not improve this year, Chicago will have a difficult time hanging with the Vikings and the Packers.
In the Bears favor, though, is the fact that they finally have a true playmaker at quarterback. Jay Cutler has all the tools to be a difference maker on offense and he should be even more effective with a top five rusher like Matt Forte in the backfield.
Chicago's new dynamic duo had better be firing on all cylinders tonight if they want to keep up with what looks to be a high-scoring Packers team.
Packers Breakdown: Green Bay's starting offense and defense looked nasty (in a good way) this preseason, putting together a 3-1 record in striking fashion. The Pack averaged over 26 points per game and Aaron Rodgers looked like the second coming of Brett Favre, except without the interceptions. The former Cal signal caller completed 29-of-41 passes for 465 yards and six touchdowns during the preseason.
If the Bears are unable to pressure Rodgers tonight, the Packers could when this game going away, rivalry or not.
NFL Picks Betting Trend: The Bears are 0-10 straight up and 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games as a road dog with a spread between 4 to 7.5 when playing in September. Chicago is, however, 4-1 in their last five games at Lambeau Field. Their latest loss in Green Bay came last season as they fell 37-3 in week 11.
