2010 NFL Week 2 Predictions: Week one of the 2010 NFL season officially comes to an end tonight, which means almost all football fans are looking to next week's matchups. They will not be disappointed with what they find as the Giants take on the Colts, the Steelers meet the Titans, and the Patriots square off against Jets. For the latest 2010 NFL Week 2 Predictions on those key games as well as the full week two lineup, visit online bookmaker Sportsbook.com today.
New York Giants vs Indianapolis Colts (-5.5): Colts fans are probably not fretting too much just yet, but the play of Indy's
defense is probably giving them some feelings of trepidation. Jim Caldwell's defense got smoked throughout the preseason, giving up an average of 40 points and 132 rush yards per game. That trend continued yesterday as the Texans rolled up 257 rush yards and 34 points in a big win over the Colts. Arian Foster looked like the second coming of Jim Brown, rushing for 231 yards and three touchdowns in 33 carries. Does the team flip the switch this week against Eli Manning and the Giants? New York had little trouble moving the ball against the Panthers in their opener, racking up 376 yards and 21 first downs. Peyton Manning may get a win over his brother, but he will probably have to do it shoot-out fashion.
Miami Dolphins vs Minnesota Vikings (-6): The Vikings, with the exception of Adrian Peterson and Visanthe Shiancoe, looked sluggish on offense in Thursday night's loss to the Saints. Minnesota finished the night with 253 total yards as Brett Favre completed 15-of-27 passes for 171 yards, one touchdown, and an interception; however, the Vikings still stayed in the game against the defending champs at the Superdome. That bodes well for the team this weekend even though they are facing a Dolphins team that held the Bills to nine first downs and 166 total yards. Miami's offense managed just 296 total yards in the 15-10 win, in spite of holding the ball for 36:54. They will need a better performance out of Chad Henne and company if they expect to move the ball against Minnesota's defense.
