The Giants started the defense of their championship in impressive fashion. Running back Steven Jackson averaged just 2.9 yards per carry and quarterback Marc Bulger threw for a miserable158 yards. The Rams defense folded after being on the field for over 35 minutes and they gave up 522 yards to Donovan McNabb and the Eagles offense.

Key Match-up: The Rams can expect more of the same this week if they do not protect Bulger. Bulger was sacked four times on Sunday and the Giants will be bringing the heat early and often this week.
