Chicago Bears vs Dallas Cowboys (-8.5): Obviously the odds makers are viewing the Cowboys season opening loss at 
Washington as an anomaly, installing the Dallas as a -8.5 against the spread home favorite this weekend against the Bears. The crowd at Cowboys Stadium should give the team a boost being that it is the team's home opener, but the 8.5 points seems a little high. No, Chicago is not a juggernaut, but the Bears are coming off a win, a controversial one albeit, in which they statistically dominated their competition. The Bears had 10 more first downs and 295 yards more than the Lions last Sunday, but four turnovers made it a nail-biting experience for Lovie Smith's squad.
New Orleans Saints vs San Francisco 49ers (+5): The Saints got a big win over the Vikings last Thursday, signaling to the rest of the league that they are back and ready to contend for another title. San Francisco, though, the team many are predicting to win the NFC West, did not impress in its opener, falling 31-6 at Seattle. The Forty-Niners were dreadful on offense, amassing just 262 total yards while averaging just 2.6 yards per carry. Quarterback Alex Smith threw two picks in the game, including one which Marcus Trufant returned 32 yards for a touchdown. The loss, no doubt, will have the team focused when it plays its home opener on Monday night against New Orleans.
