The Seahawks killed last week against the San Francisco 49ers and I think they can hold their own against the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks defense was strong and aggressive and made life miserable for both quarterback Alex Smith (26-of-45, 225 yards, 2 INT) and running back Frank Gore (17 carries, 38 yards). Denver’s defense, under the tutelage of new coordinator Don Martindale for the first time, allowed Jaguars quarterback David Garrard to complete 16-of-21 for 170 yards with three touchdown passes. A unit missing top pass rusher Elvis Dumervil, who was lost for the year with a torn pectoral suffered in training camp, managed just one sack against Garrard on the afternoon.

NY Giants vs Indianapolis Colts kicks off on Sunday, September 19, 8:20 PM ET – The Indianapolis Colts are listed as -6 point home favorites against the NY Giants at SPORTSBOOK.com. I like the Colts over the Giants based on the offense of the Giants compared the strength of the Colts offense. Peyton Manning made 40 of 57 for 433 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Eli Manning completed 20 of 30 passes for 263 yards with three TD’s, but three interceptions. The Giants will be without starting TE Kevin Boss, who is a key player in their offense. The Colts will tighten up their rush defense and the Giants won’t have nothing.
