Week 2 NFL Picks 2011: There are 10 games scheduled in today’s 1 PM slot. I will give you three of my picks for the 1 PMs, as well as their respective NFL Week 2 Betting Odds. Let’s begin with the battle at Ralph Wilson Stadium between the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills. The NFL Point Spreads for this game go as follows: Oakland Raiders [+3] vs Buffalo Bills [-3].
My pick for this game is the Buffalo Bills. The Raiders appear to be headed in the right direction, as far as emerging as a playoff contender in the AFC. However, their lack of discipline is too much to overcome. Teams in this league are so good, that beating yourself will make it nearly impossible to keep their heads above water.
The second game I would like to give you my pick for is the one most people will be keeping a close eye on. The defending Green Bay Packers visit Bank of America Stadium to take on the Carolina Panthers. Here’s how this Week 2 NFL Point Spreads looks: Green Bay Packers [-9.5] vs Carolina Panthers [+9.5].
I like Green Bay huge in this one. With Cam Newton feeling like the NFL is really not that hard, coming off a 400-plus yard performance, the Packers will do their best to ground this kid. This will be a good learning experience for Newton, as he faces one of the premier defenses in this league. Nevertheless, after the class session ends, the Packers will be the ones on top.
Finally, let’s take a quick look at the game happening at LP Field. That will be the site for the AFC battle between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans. NFL Point Spreads for this game go as follows: Baltimore Ravens [-5.5] vs Tennessee Titans [+5.5].
I certainly like the Ravens to come out on top in this one. However, I think this game will be closer than what the NFL Betting Odds suggest. Therefore, I would play the Raven’s money-line rather than the spread on this one. Look for Chris Johnson to have a huge game for Tennessee, as he will do his best to keep things close in the scoreboard.
