St. Louis Rams vs Oakland Raiders 2010 NFL Odds, 2010 NFL Picks & 2010 NFL Predictions: The St. Louis Rams are in California today to take Al Davis' Oakland Raiders. The NFC/AFC clash is scheduled to kickoff at 4:05pm ET at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum; the game will be televised live on FOX. 2010 NFL Odds, Picks & Predictions at JustBet.com have the Raiders listed as a -3 against the spread home favorite and the game total set at 37.
The Rams nearly knocked off the the Cardinals last weekend in St. Louis, but four turnovers, including three interceptions
from rookie quarterback Sam Bradford, led to a 17-13 loss. While Bradford's regular season debut had more than its share of shaky moments, the Oklahoma product did led the offense to 20 first downs and 325 total yards (the team averaged just 279.4 per game last year).
St. Louis' defense, other than forcing four fumbles, did not aid the offense all that much as the Cardinals racked up 378 yards in just over 27 minutes. It also allowed the lone second half touchdown, with Larry Fitzgerald catching a 21 yard pass from Derek Anderson a little over halfway through the fourth quarter.
While the Rams lost, they did not suffer the humiliation that the Raiders did in their season opener. Oakland took one on the chin in Tennessee as the Titans rolled to a 38-13 win at LP Field.
The Raiders offense still lacked a passing game as quarterback Jason Campbell completed just 22-of-37 passes for 180 yards, one touchdown, and one pick. Campbell, who, despite last Sunday's outing, is a major upgrade over JaMarcus Russell, failed to compliment Oakland's ground attack, which churned out 136 yards on 26 carries even without Michael Bush in the lineup.
The real problem for Oakland, though, was its inability to slow down the Titans offense. Tennessee rolled up 345 yards, 205 of which came on the ground as Chris Johnson rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries.
One encouraging sign for the Raiders was the performance of Darren McFadden. McFadden had one of his best NFL outings, rushing for 95 yards while also reeling in six catches for 55 yards and a touchdown.
2010 NFL Odds Betting Trend: The Raiders are 0-7 against the spread over the last five years playing as a home favorite coming off a loss.
