Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Buffalo Bills NFL Odds, NFL Predictions & NFL Picks: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills will meet today at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, New York. The Bills will need to regroup quickly after suffering an improbable loss in New England on Monday night. The Bucs may be just the squad to do that against. The game is set to get underway at 4:05pm ET on FOX. NFL Odds at Sportsbook.com have the Bills listed as a -4.5 against the spread favorite.
Buccaneers Breakdown: Raheem Morris watched his team lose 34-21 to the Dallas Cowboys in his head coaching debut. However, Morris may have been surprised to see how effectively his offense moved up and down the field at Raymond James Stadium.
Tampa Bay's offense was nothing short of putrid during the preseason, in fact, it was so bad the team fired offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski just before the final exhibition match. Maybe that was all it took. Last Sunday against Dallas the unit produced 450 yards and 26 first downs. The run and pass were balanced well, going for 174 and 276 respectively.
Quarterback Byron Leftwich completed 25-of-41 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown while running back Cadillac Williams (yes, he's back again) ran for 97 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
The Bucs defense, which was suppose to be the team's strength, got rung up for 462 yards by the Cowboys. Quarterback Tony Romo threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns against the revamped unit.
Bills Breakdown: The Bills might still have a hang over from their Monday night loss in New England, and one could hardly blame them if they did. Buffalo led 24-13 with 5:32 left in the game and managed to lose 25-24 thanks to two Patriots touchdowns that occurred within 00:76 seconds of each other.
Dick Jauron's club did not win the statistical battle either as the Pats had more first downs, more yardage, and more third down conversions. New England also possessed the ball almost a full 15 minutes longer than did the Bills.
Still, the offense performed well, especially quarterback Trent Edwards. The Stanford graduate completed 15-of-25 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. His effort was complmented by running back Fred Jackson, who filled in for a suspended Marshawn Lynch. Jackson had 15 carries for 57 yards and five receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Terrell Owens had two catches for 46 yards in his Bills debut.
NFL Odds Betting Trend: Tampa Bay is 1-9 straight up and 6-3-1 against the spreadin their last 10 games as a road dog with a total between 41.5 and 44.
