Tampa Bay's 24-20 loss to the Saints in week one prompted Head Coach Jon Gruden to make a change at quarterback. Gruden removed incumbent Jeff Garcia and inserted the well traveled Brian Griese. Chicago scored one of the biggest surprises of the NFL's opening weekend by dumping the Colts 29-13 in Indianapolis. They followed that showing up with a gutty performance against the Panthers in Carolina. While they lost the game 20-17, they signaled that things may not be as bleak as their pre-season results had people believing.
Rookie running back Matt Forte appears to be a real weapon and the defense has returned to the form of their Super Bowl season. Last week they held the Panthers to just 216 total yards (102 passing, 114 rushing).
