Tennesse Titans vs New York Jets (-2): It took the Titans till week 15 of
the 2008 season to lose two games, but Jeff Fisher's squad finds itself down two just two games into the 2009 campaign. Sunday's loss to the Texans might take a while for the Titans to shake off. Whenever a team rushes for 240 yards and averages 9.2 yards per carry at home, it should win the game. Somehow Tennessee did not get that memo as Houston left Nashville, a place it has lost at in six of its previous seven visits, with a 34-31 win.
A quick glance at the schedule prior to the start of the year and many would have penciled in a win for Tennessee this weekend against the Jets. That was then and this is now. New York has looked like the better team in the early going and they know what it takes to beat the Titans because they did last year in the Music City (34-13).
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals (+4.5): Another would be laugher that suddenly has fans in the Steel City feeling a little nervous. Pittsburgh has managed to score just 27 points in two games, but more worrisome is the fact that their defense is giving up an average of 233 yards per game through the air. The Steelers ranked first in the league last season in pass defense, limiting opponents to an average of 157 pass yards per game.
Cincinnati should be 2-0 entering this game after stunning the football world with their 31-24 win at Green Bay. Quarterback Carson Palmer has been a little mistake prone in the first two games, but he has also shown flashes of his old self. He would love nothing more than to replicate last Sunday's three touchdown performance against the Steelers this weekend. If he is able to, the Bengals might be able to snap their five game losing skid against Pittsburgh.
