Denver (1-1) got past the Cincinnati Bengals 24-22, in Week 2, for John Fox's first win as Denver's coach. The Ravens were so focused on stopping Titans RB Chris Johnson, QB Matt Hasselbeck attacked through the air. TE Kenny Britt caught nine passes for 135 yards and one touchdown, and WR Nate Washington caught seven passes for 99 yards. Rob Bironas also kicked four field goals as Tennessee held the ball for more than 35 minutes and outgained Baltimore 432-234 in total offense. The Titans also showed off their revamped defense. They sacked Joe Flacco three times and repeatedly hit him while forcing three turnovers, including two interceptions. CB James McCourty and CB Cortland Finnegan started Sunday for the Titans against the Ravens, but Verner moved to cornerback and Finnegan moved to the slot during passing situations. The use of the three cornerbacks led to big plays — an interception by Verner early and an interception by McCourty off a pass tipped by Finnegan in the second half —which helped the Titans win. Coach Munchak said it will be important for Tennessee’s defensive line and secondary to work together to disrupt Denver’s rhythm on Sunday. Opposing passers are a combined 32-for-56 passing for 372 yards and one touchdown this season against the Titans.
