Chicago Bears vs Seattle Seahawks NFL Odds, NFL Predictions & NFL Picks: The Chicago Bears have made the trek northwest this week to face the Seahawks in Seattle. The Bears are coming off a big home win against the Steelers while the Seahawks are trying to rebound from a road loss in San Francisco. The two NFC rivals will kick things off at 4:05pm ET at Qwest Field (FOX). NFL Odds at Bodog.com have the Seahawks listed as a +2.5 against the spread underdog.
Bears Breakdown: Chicago evened its record at 1-1 last weekend with a home win over the Super Bowl Champion Steelers.
The Bears Robbie Gould kicked a 44 yard field goal with just 00:15 left in regulation to seal the 17-14 victory. The Bears did not overwhelm the Steelers with their offensive attack, but they were efficient enough to keep Pittsburgh on its heels.
Quarterback Jay Cutler bounced back from a horrendous week one showing by completing 27-of-38 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns. Cutler's performance helped Chicago overcome their lack of a ground game as well as 10 penalties.
The Bears defense held the Steelers to 308 yards and they also picked off a Roethlisberger pass in third quarter that kept Pittsburgh from possibly adding to a 14-7 lead.
Seahawks Breakdown: Seattle dropped to 1-1 last weekend with a 10-23 loss to division rival San Francisco at Candlestick Park. The Seahawks offense struggled to find a rhythm against the Forty Niners defense, producing just 283 total yards and four third down conversions. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck left the game in the second quarter with a rib injury further adding to the unit's problem. However, the biggest issue was their inability to move the ball on the ground (66 rush yards, 2.9 yards per carry).
Seattle's defense got steamrolled by San Francisco, giving up 256 rush yards to Mike Singletary's squad. Frank Gore gashed the injury plagued group for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Gore scored on a 79 yard run in the first quarter, which he later topped with an 80 yard dash in the fourth. The Seahawks were able to pressure quarterback Shaun Hill, though, recording four sacks in the loss.
Game Note: Hasselbeck is listed as questionable for today's game, but Jim Mora has indicated that the veteran passer will probably not play. Seneca Wallace will fill in for Hasselbeck if he is unable to go.
NFL Odds Betting Betting Trend: The Bears are 6-0 straight up over the last five years playing as an away favorite coming off a home win.
