New Orleans Saints vs Buffalo Bills NFL Odds, NFL Picks & NFL Predictions: The point a minute Saints are in Buffalo today to take on the 1-1 Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium. This afternoon's game will be the Bills second straight meeting with an NFC South squad as they took at the Bucs at home last weekend. Kickoff is set for 4:05pm ET; the game will be televised live on FOX. NFL Odds at BetUS.com have New Orleans listed as a -6 against the spread road favorite.
Saints Breakdown: New Orleans looks like the real deal through the first two games of season, pounding out 93 points and
936 yards against the Lions and Eagles. Quarterback Drew Brees demonstrated why the team is so good offensively in last week's 48-22 beating of the Eagles in Philly as he completed 25-of-34 passes for 311 yards and three touchdowns. The Purdue graduate is afforded great protection and he is extremely accurate with his throws.
The Saints defense has also stepped up its play. The unit was one of the worst in the league last year, but they are holding teams to average of just 59 rush yards per game this season. They are also a more opportunistic bunch as their +3 turnover margin would indicate.
Bills Breakdown: Buffalo could easily be 2-0, but the league does not reward victories for coulda, shoulda, and woulda. Thus the Bills find themselves at 1-1 after trouncing the Buccaneers 33-20 at Ralph Wilson Stadium last Sunday. Dick Jauron's no huddle offense appears to be working as the team has produced a 28.5 point per game average thus far. It certainly worked against Tampa Bay. The Bills racked up 438 yards in the easy win and the had good balance between the pass and the run.
Quarterback Trent Edwards completed 21-of-31 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick. Running back Fred Jackson was the real star, though, as he had 28 carries for 163 yards.
Buffalo's defense teed off on Bucs signal caller Byron Leftwich, sacking him twice and hitting him 12 times.
