The Bengals (2-1) won in Carolina 20-7. QB Carson Palmer completed 19 of 37 passes for 195 yards with a TD, but two interceptions. RB Cedric Benson had 27 carries for 81 yards with a TD and two catches for nine yards with a TD. The Bengals struggled to take advantage of Carolina’s many mistakes and did little to calm concerns about a veteran-laden offense that can’t find its way much of the time. Carson Palmer threw two first-half interceptions and could have had several more picked off. His passer rating is 71.3, which ranks 22nd in the league and is below his 83.6 rating for all last season. The Bengals put a lot of money and draft picks into upgrading the passing game in the offseason, signing receivers Antonio Bryant (later released) and Terrell Owens and drafting tight end Jermaine Gresham and receiver Jordan Shipley.WR’s Chad Ochocinco and Owens aren’t making much of an impact – they combined for only 76 yards. The T-Ocho combo has 389 yards and one touchdown. Their offense is currently ranked 15th overall with a 15th ranked pass game and 18th ranked ground game. It seems RB Cedric Benson is the only one performing on offense. Their defense is somewhat solid ranking ninth overall, 11th against the pass and 13th against the rush. The Browns are exactly what the Bengals need right now.

The Browns (0-3) lost at Baltimore 17-24. QB Seneca Wallace completed 18 of 24 passes for 141 yards with a TD. RB Peyton Hillis had a huge game with 22 carries for 144 yards and a TD against the Ravens defense. Baltimore allowed its first touchdowns of the season and failed to force a turnover. CB Eric Wright was victimized by the Ravens WR Anquan Boldin, who caught for 142 yards with three TD’s. "He's obviously a good player, but I didn't play up to my ability, anywhere close," Wright said. "It's unfortunate because you have 10 other guys on the field that are doing their job and really depending on me to be a certain type of player. I wasn't that player by a long shot." "I think we showed today that we can run the ball against one of the best defenses in the league . We played together today," Hillis said. "I was proud of our guys."
