The Jets (2-1) won in Miami 31-23. QB Mark Sanchez threw three touchdown passes for the second week in a row, as the Jets forged a three-way tie atop the AFC East with the Dolphins and Patriots. WR Braylon Edwards turned a short pass into a 67 yard TD as he ended the day with two catches for 87 yards. RB LaDainian Tomlinson he 15 carries for 70 yards with a TD. The Jets are ranked 26th overall in passing yards and 9th overall in rushing yards. The Jets defense struggles against the pass, ranked 27th, but are the fourth best team against the rush. DB Antonio Cromartie leads with two interceptions. Darrelle Revis or not, the Jets are just better than the Bills, who doesn't have any sort of weapon that can keep this game close. I know the Patriots struggled against Buffalo last week but I don't see that happening this week to the Jets.
The Bills (0-3) lost in New England 30-38 despite their best offensive outing of the season. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 20 of 28 passes for 247 yards with two TD’s, but two interceptions. It was an encouraging performance from Ryan Fitzpatrick which was enough to earn him the permanent starting job . The Bills released Trent Edwards on Monday. Fitzpatrick directed five scoring drives. It was the Bills' best passing output against the Pats since 2005. It also was a big improvement over the Edwards' passing totals of 139 yards and 105 yards, respectively, the first two weeks. (It should be noted, New England's defense does not look as good as that of the Bills' first two foes, Miami and Green Bay.) The Bills are ranked 31st overall in passing yards and 17th overall in rushing yards. On defense they are 18th against the pass and 27th against the rush. The Bills still haven’t made an interception, yet!
