Defensively, the Titans held the Broncos to 231 yards and forced two turnovers. Cornerback Jason McCourty intercepted a pass for the second consecutive game, and linebacker Will Witherspoon sealed the win by picking off a Kyle Orton pass. For the third consecutive week, the defense held the opposing quarterback under 200 passing yards. The Titans are currently ranked first in the NFL in overall defense, allowing 261.0 yards per game, and they are second in the league in scoring defense, permitting an average of 14.3 points per contest.
Cleveland (2-1) got a 17-16 home win, in Week 3, over winless Miami Dolphins. QB Colt McCoy completed 19 of 39 passes for 210 yards with a touchdown, making up for an otherwise lackluster and inaccurate performance. WR Josh Cribbs made three catches for 49 yards with a touchdown.
