NFL Week 4 Predictions on the Chicago Bears vs NY Giants Betting Odds: The NY Giants host the perfect Chicago Bears, Sunday Oct 3, as the Bears look for a fourth straight victory. The Bears won their only meeting over the Giants last season 17-3. NFL oddsmakers at BETUS.com have the Giants as -4 point home favorites over the Bears while the game's total has been posted at 44 points. The Bears (3-0) beat Green Bay 20-17 at home. QB Jay Cutler was on, as he completed 16 of 27 for 221 yards with a TD and an interception. RB Matt Forte did little with 11 carries for 29 yards, while WR Johnny Knox made four catches for 94 yards. Their offensive lineman allowed Cutler to be sacked three times, they must keep Cutler upright. Chicago's Devin Hester returned a punt for a touchdown on Monday night against Green Bay, and he could exploit a struggling New York special teams unit. A true contender needs three things: strong home-field advantage, a great quarterback and some ability to win on the road. The Bears have all three, putting them in the contender category. Coach Mike Martz has done some nice things with Jay Cutler in that offense and for the Bears to consistently move the ball against the Giants they'll need another big game from Cutler. I can see him passing 300 yards on Sunday but limiting his interceptions is crucial. The Bears defense is solid against the rush, currently best in the league, but they’ll have to be on their toes as their 28th ranked pass rush continues to struggle. But Eli Manning has been so inconsistent lately that the Bears defense might not have to work as hard.

The Giants (1-2) lost to Tennessee 10-29 at home. QB Eli Manning completed 34 of 48 passes for 386 yards and a whopping three interceptions. RB Ahmad Bradshaw had 15 carries for 88 yards with a TD, but also a fumble, while WR Steve Smith made nine catches for 93 yards. The Giants are statically good on offense, currently ranked eighth overall with a ninth ranked pass game and an average 14th ranked running game. WR Mario Manningham is injured and has not practiced; he will undergo further testing to gauge his availability. Manningham leads all Giants receivers with 238 yards receiving with one TD. Their defense has been solid against the pass, currently fourth best, but against the rush they are poor with a 26th ranking. They gave up 161 yards rushing to the Titans last week.
