Raiders Breakdown: Oakland, per its usual mode of operation, found a way to lose last weekend when it should have won. The Raiders fell to 1-2 on the season after handing the Cardinals a 24-23 victory in Glendale.
Oakland, led by Bruce Gradkowski, who threw for 255 yards, one touchdown, and a pick in his first start of the season, had 20 first downs and 364 total yards in the loss to Arizona (18 first downs, 227 total yards). The Raiders also held the ball for 33 minutes to the Cardinals 27; however, the team went 1-for-5 in the red zone and committed 11 penalties which added up to 123 yards.
Sebastian Janikowski capped off the self-destructive effort with a missed 32 yard field goal in the final seconds of the game.
