Dallas Cowboys vs Denver Broncos NFL Predictions, NFL Odds & NFL Picks: The Denver Broncos have surprised almost everyone with their 3-0 start, but a win this afternoon would really generate some buzz for Josh McDaniels squad. The Broncos will host the Dallas Cowboys today at Invesco Field at Mile High for a 4:15pm ET kickoff. The big contest will be broadcast live on FOX. NFL Predictions at Bookmaker.com have Denver listed as a +3 against the spread home underdog.
Cowboys Breakdown: Dallas recovered from their home loss to the Giants by pummeling the Panthers 21-7 on Monday Night Football. The Pokes played smash mouth football against Carolina, racking up 449 yards and 24 first downs. Tony Romo played mistake free, completing 22-of-33 passes for 255 yards while the rushing attack went off for 212 (6.6 yards per carry). Running backs Felix Jones and Tashard Choice filled in nicely for the injured Marion Barber as the two combined for 176 yards and a touchdown in 26 carries.
The Cowboys defense played its best game of the season, holding Carolina to 271 yards and just one third down conversion. Dallas finally got some pressure on an opposing quarterback, an area they have been sorely deficient in this season, sacking Jake Delhomme three times and hitting him on three other occasions.
Broncos Breakdown: Denver improved their record to a perfect 3-0 last Sunday by embarassing division rival Oakland 23-3 at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. The Bronocs played an efficient brand of football on offense, producing 378 yards and 21 first downs while holding the ball 36:15 seconds. Kyle Orton completed 13-of-23 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown. His modest effort was complimented by a ground game that totaled 215 yards at 4.8 yards per carry.
Running backs Correll Buckhalter and Knowshon Moreno did the bulk of the work against the Raiders suspect defense. Buckhalter had 108 yards in 14 carries while the rookie Moreno pounded out 90 yards and a touchdown in 21 touches.
Denver's defense blistered JaMarcus Russell and the rest of Oakland's offense, limiting the motley crew to 137 yards and nine first downs. The Broncos sacked Russell three times and also picked him off twice.
Game Note: Barber is back in the Dallas lineup for today's game but now Jones is out with an injury. Choice will get most of the carries against the Broncos this afternoon.
NFL Predictions Betting Trend: The Broncos are 13-4 straight up over the last five years playing as a home team coming off of a road win.
