Philadelphia (3-1, 1-1 V) lost to San Francisco 23-24, at home, in Week 4. QB Michael Vick completed 30 of 46 passes for 416 yards with two touchdowns, while WR DeSean Jackson made six catches for 171 yards. Vick wasn't hampered by his bruised right hand, but he did injure a finger on his left hand in the first half. He’ll be ready to go this week. The Eagles shouldn't have much trouble scoring in the mid-30s by themselves against a weak Buffalo defense that is struggling mightily to generate a pass rush. If Fred Jackson can find the same holes in the Eagles front seven that other running backs have this game should fly past the number early in the fourth quarter. For the Eagles to get back on track, the team will need to reestablish their run defense. Philadelphia is surrendering 139.5 yards on the ground, third-worst in the league. And while no quick-fixes can shore up the offensive front, the Eagles must find a way to keep their versatile but vulnerable QB healthy. Luckily for Philly, LeSean McCoy has helped provide some stability in the backfield, rushing for 363 yards on just 66 carries in the early going. Also producing has been Jeremy Maclin, who missed most of the preseason with an unknown ailment.
Buffalo (3-1, 2-0 H) lost to Cincinnati 20-23, on the road, in Week 4. The Bills came in as the AFC's last perfect team after pulling off historic comebacks. This time, they couldn't hold a lead. QB Ryan finishing finished 20 of 34 for 199 yards. Coming off an emotional win over New England, the Bills were flat on offense and never got moving. They'd scored at least 30 points in each of the first three games, but managed only Scott's touchdown return, Fred Jackson's 2-yard run and a pair of field goals. The Bills had some defensive breakdowns against the Bengals' rookie quarterback Andy Dalton. "It’s concerning, it is," Gailey said. "You’ve got to get off the field. You can’t give up the big plays. The big plays hurt us this past week, the long runs, the long passes hurt us this past week. You’ve got to be able to get off the field on third downs. Buffalo’s offense is far from a one-dimensional attack. Fitzpatrick has been extremely effective in the first three games, hitting 63.4 percent of his throws and maintaining a 96.9 QB rating. Although the team traded away the services of veteran Lee Evans in August, the receiving corps hasn't missed a beat, with Stevie Johnson (24 receptions, 314 yards), David Nelson (22 receptions, 251 yards) and Scott Chandler (11 receptions, four touchdowns) providing the necessary targets for Fitzpatrick to operate.Get $50 in Free NFL Picks here.
