The Dallas Cowboys look to deny the Kansas City Chiefs their first win, Sunday Oct 11, as the Chiefs host the Cowboys. Dallas has taken three of the last four meetings and has a 5-3 overall series edge. NFL oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com have the Cowboys as -9 point road favs over the Chiefs with the over/under set at 42.5 points . The Cowboys (2-2) lost in Denver 10-17 in Week 4 and sit third in the NFC East. QB Tony Romo made 25 of 42 passes for 255 yards with one interception; overall he’s thrown for 990 yards with four TD passes and four interceptions. Their top RB Marion Barber had 11 carries for 41 yards with a TD, while top WR Sam Hurd made three catches for 62 yards. QB Romo connected with eight of nine receivers who ended in double-digit yards. They managed a low 74 yards rushing and 241 yards passing.  QB Romo has come under fire in recent weeks having completed only 57.6 percent of his passes with one touchdown and four interceptions in his past three games. The critics figure to grow even louder if Romo struggles against the Chiefs' 28th-ranked pass defense . LB DeMarcus Ware led the NFL with 20 sacks in 2008 and averaged 13 sacks a year over his first four seasons. This year, Ware has yet to tally a sack. There is no better time for him to break out than against the Chiefs, who have already surrendered 13 sacks this season (the third-highest total in the league). With QB Romo throwing up interceptions, is no wonder their running game sits ranked third best in the league, while their passing game sits averagely at 13th. The Cowboys are 20-3 when Romo starts and has a 100-plus passer rating. WR Roy Williams is listed as doubtful for Sundays tilt due to a rib injury.

The Chiefs (0-4) lost to NY Giants 16-27 at home in Week 4 and sit dead last in the AFC West. QB Matt Cassel made 15 of 32 passes for 127 yards with two TD passes; overall he’s thrown for 458 yards with five TD passes and two interceptions. Their top RB Larry Johnson had 18 carries for 53 yards, while WR Sean Ryan made five catches for 58 yards with a TD. QB Cassel connected with four of six receivers who ended in double-digit yards. They managed 105 yards rushing and a low 88 yards passing. QB Cassel has thrown four touchdowns in the past two weeks but he has struggled to get the ball downfield . He is averaging a low 4.5 yards per pass over the last two games and Kansas City is just 2-for-26 on third down. Those stats must improve if the Chiefs are to spring the upset against the Cowboys. On defense, the Cowboys are ranked 29th against the pass and 18th against the rush. Now is the perfect time for the Chiefs to show some offense. WR Bobby Wade aims for his third straight game with a touchdown catch.
