The ground game came out of its shell, though, despite an injury to running back Clinton Portis, accounting for 169 yards on 35 carries.
Washington's defense, which is giving up 19.8 points and 406 yards per game, yielded 21 first downs and 353 yards to the Eagles. The Redskins aided their cause by knocking Michael Vick out of the game on a first quarter run.
