2011 NFL Games Week 6: The 2011 National Football Conference is proving to be the toughest of the two, as teams appear to be way more competitive here than those in the counterparts in the AFC. As we start Week 6, our current division leaders are: (3-1) Washington Redskins in the East after their Bye, (5-0) Green Bay Packers in the North (pending the MNF game between the Lions and Bears), the (4-1) New Orleans Saints are the kings in the South, and the San Francisco 49ers are the best in the West.
Looking at the slate of 2011 NFL Games Week 6, we can immediately see that those NFC teams enjoying Bye Weeks can both be found in the West: the (1-4) Arizona Cardinals and the (2-3) Seattle Seahawks. Other than that, every other NFC team will be in action in Week 6! Some you will find involved in interconference matchups while others will be playing teams within their own Division.
Speaking of intradivisional rivals, two teams jockeying for position in the race for the NFC South crown will meet this Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Looking to make up some ground in what appears to be a two-horse Divisional race, the (3-2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers [+4½] welcome the NFL Odds favorite Saints [-4½] to the Florida Bay.
The Bucs are coming off an embarrassing, 48-3, thrashing at the hands of the Niners last Sunday. They’ll be taking on a red-hot Drew Brees and the 2009 Super Bowl champion Saints, who come in winners of five straight. The only blemish on the Saints record came in week 1, as Sean Payton’s club lost to the defending champions, Green Bay Packers, in what a very close encounter.
