Jaguars Breakdown: Jacksonville brought its record to 2-2 last Sunday, scoring a 37-17 blowout win over division rival Tennessee. The game was never close as the Jags built up a 27-3 lead before the break. Quarterback David Garrard led the offensive barrage, completing 27-of-37 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns (126.3 passer rating). Garrard's banner day resulted in 27 first downs, 442 total yards, and an eight minute time of possession advantage for Jacksonville.
Wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker and tight end Marcedes Lewis were the primary receipients of Garrard's throws. The two combined for 10 catches for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
The Jaguars defense did not show particularly strong, giving up 19 first downs and 379 yards to the Titans, but it did produce three key turnovers.
Seahawks Breakdown: Jim Mora Jr's squad fell to 1-3 last weekend, losing to the Colts in Indy by a score of 17-34. Seattle trailed 21-3 at halftime and it scored its first touchdown with just 2:59 left in the game. Quarterback Seneca Wallace did an admirable job filling in for the injured Matt Hasselbeck, who is suppsoe to start in today's game, completing 33-of-45 passes for 257 yards and a touchdown. Wallace and wideout T.J. Housmandzadeh (eight receptions, 103 yards), however, were about the only bright spots for the Seahawks in the loss. The team wrapped up the game with a total of 279 yards (230 pass, 49 rush).
The Seahawks defense was even more dreadful than the offense, though, giving up 24 first downs and 431 yards to the Colts. Indianapolis also converted 8-of-13 third downs and they scored on four of their six trips inside the red zone.
