Minnesota Vikings vs St. Louis Rams NFL Odds, NFL Picks & NFL Predictions: The undefeated Minnesota Vikings will meet the winless St. Louis Rams today at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. About the only foreseeable edge the Rams have in this game is the fact the Vikes are coming off of short rest after playing the Packers on Monday night. That is a small advantage, at best, as the NFL Odds at SBGglobal.com would indicate with Minnesota coming in as a -9.5 against the spread road favorite. Kickoff in this NFC skirmish is scheduled for 1:00pm ET (FOX).

Vikings Breakdown: Minnesota made a statement on Monday night while improving their record to 4-0. The statement was that the Vikings might be the best team in the league. On a night when Adrian Peterson rushed for just 55 yards in 25 carries, Minnesota still churned out 22 first downs and converted on eight of 14 third down opportunities. The Vikes proved that if a team keys on the run, than Minnesota can burn them with the pass. Brett Favre used the play-action pass to perfection, even with Peterson's modest showing, completing 24-of-31 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns.

Couple Minnesota's well-balanced offense with their run stuffing, quarterback wreaking defense (eight sacks, nine QB hits on Monday) and Brad Childress has a formidable monster on his hands.

Rams Breakdown: St. Louis made their own statement last weekend in losing 0-35 to the Forty-Niners in San Francisco. Steve Spagnuolo's Rams are quite possibly the worst team in a league that includes the Bucs, Chiefs, Browns, and Lions. That is a statement of epic proportions, indeed. St. Louis offense totaled nine first downs, 177 yards, and three turnovers in Sunday's loss. The three turnovers all led to San Francisco defensive touchdowns, a feat perhaps not matched since men first donned striped shirts and straped on leather helmets. 

The St. Louis defense did limit the Forty-Niners to 13 first downs and 228 total yards, but its solid effort was wasted as the team had no chance of winning.

NFL Odds Betting Trend: Teams playing as a road favorite over the last five seasons coming off a Monday night game, coming off back-to-back straight up wins are 5-1 straight and against the spread.
