NFL Picks: Patriots vs CowboysThe pre-fight hype for this week’s game between the Cowboys and the Patriots hit high gear earlier in the week when Dallas’ WR Terrell Owens posted this note on his locker in regards to the match-up and New England’s WR Randy Moss:

Dear Reporters,
Due to the magnitude of this week's game and high volume of questions for the Original 81 about the other 81, I will be taking all questions immediately following Sunday's game.
Sincerely, Terrell Owens 81

The game is the most highly anticipated of the year—at least thus far into the 2007 NFL season—as the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots as both sport identical 5-0 records and SportsBetting.com has the Pats listed as 5½-point favorites with a total of 53.

"Definately the game of the year, possibly a Superbowl Preview," stated Point-Spreads.com Expert NFL Handicapper Brad Marchetti when asked to comment on the New England Patriots vs Dallas Cowboys match-up.  "Both of theses teams have been a good bet this year but New England has looked supernatural."

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys were handed their first ATS loss last week in their Monday Night match-up against the Buffalo Bills pulling out a 25-24 win but failing to cover the 10½-point line.
The New England Patriots have bounced back nicely after the Spy Gate incident most recently covering as a 16½-point favorite in a 34-17 win over Cleveland.

As one might expect, this is the game getting the most volume from the betting public, and the Patriots are the team they are backing. New England has attracted 80% of the early action in this tilt.

The Super Bowl might be a ways off, but both Dallas and New England are early contenders. Looking at the Super Bowl future odds at SportsBetting.com, heading into Week 6’s head-on collision, the Cowboys are listed at 6-1, while the Patriots are the favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at 7-5.
