NFL Week 7 Predictions

by Matt Foust on Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

The NFL season is fastly approaching that point where teams reach that 'you are what you are' status. Granted, there are some teams just hitting their stride (i.e Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts), but coaches basically know what their respective teams are capable of at this point. With that in mind, NFL Week 7 Predictions at BetUS.com has some of the most intriguing match-ups to this point in the season.NFL Week 7 Predictions

BetUS.com's best NFL Week 7 Predictions:

San Diego Chargers @ Buffalo Bills (Pickem, Over/Under 45.5):
The San Diego Chargers look as though they might be ready to shake their Jekyll and Hyde persona, having won three of their last four games. San Diego, who was dominant in their win over New England, has another cross country road trip lined up for this weekend as they head to Buffalo, New York. The well rested Bills are coming off a bye week, but they will have something to prove after their dismantling in Arizona two weeks ago. If they can beat the Chargers, it will be a big statement as to the make up of their roster.

Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears (-3, Over/Under 38):
The Minnesota Vikings finally crawled out of the ditch they dug earlier in the year, and moved to 3-3 after squeaking by the Lions. The Vikes still have plenty of questions marks, but they have proven that they can stop the run. It will be an interesting match-up with fellow NFC North member Chicago, who thrives on running back Matt Forte and the ground game. Regardless of who wins this game, it will still take a few weeks to clear up the log jam atop the division.

New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers (-3, Over/Under 44.5):
Carolina was starting to look like the best team in the NFC until they went to Tampa Bay last Sunday. The Panthers, smoked by the Bucs 27-3, were undone by three uncharacteristic Jake Delhomme interceptions. They have another tough assignment this week as the 3-3 Saints come into town after destroying the Raiders 34-3. The Saints, who could easily be sitting at 5-1 or 6-0, will pose significant problems to Carolina if they are unable to get pressure on Drew Brees.

Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots (-3, Over/Under 47):
The Denver Broncos, who started out 3-0, now have something to prove after dropping two of their last three contests. Their defense has been poor all season long, but their offense has struggled the last two weeks too. They desperately need to find their early season rhythm if they want to keep the Chargers at bay in the AFC West. New England looks like they are still trying to find their identity with Tom Brady out of the line up. They have looked good on occasion, but they have been blown out in two of their last three games.
