For the Lions, the quick maturity of Matthew Stafford, the dominance of Calvin “Megatron” Johnson and a defense led by another former first overall pick, Ndamukong Suh, has translated into the franchise’s best start in 55 years. But looking to keep the ball rolling won’t be easy against a team that’s starting to feel it belongs in the mix.

"The whole country is seeing how good the team can be," said Lions defensive end Cliff Avril. "Even with the win, we had so many mistakes so it is huge, but we've got to bounce back and get the sixth."
