The Saints (5-0) beat NY Giants 48-27 at home in Week 6 and now sit atop the NFC South. The Giants had given up only 23 points combined in their previous three games. New Orleans had 34 by halftime. QB Drew Brees made 23 of 30 passes for 369 yards with four TD passes; overall he’s thrown for 1,400 yards with 13 TD passes and two interceptions. RB Pierre Thomas had 15 carries for 72 yards, while RB Mike Bell, TE Heath Evans and RB Reggie Bush each had a TD. Their receivers were on fire, WR Marques Colston made eight catches for 166 yards with a TD, while WR Robert Meachem, WR Lance Moore and TE Jeremy Shockey each had a TD. The Saints generated 360 passing yards and 133 yards rushing. The Saints have the best offense in the league with a seventh ranked passing game and fourth ranked running game. Their best option for beating the Dolphins will be to put their passing game up against the Dolphins 19th ranked pass defense . The Saints running game is good, currently ranked fourth best, but the Dolphins are great against the rush currently ranked third. The Saints average 38.4ppg and give up 18.6ppg, while they average 37.5ppg on the road and allow 14.5ppg. They are 5-0 ATS and 3-2 over/under. The Saints have scored on every one of their opening drives this season.

The Dolphins (2-3) beat the NY Jets 31-27 at home in Week 5 and now sit third in the AFC South. QB Chad Henne made 20 of 26 passes for 241 yards with two TD passes; overall in two games as starter he’s thrown for 448 yards with three TD passes and one interception. Injured QB Chad Pennington averaged 13ppg in three games while QB Henne has averaged 34.5ppg in two starts. Their running duo controlled the entire game. RB Ronnie Brown had 21 carries for 74 yards with two TD’s, while RB Ricky Williams had 11 carries for 68 yards. TE Ted Ginn Jr. made two catches for 57 yards with a TD, while Anthony Fasano made four catches for 38 yards with a TD. The Dolphins average 35 minutes of time of possession thanks to their wildcat scheme that is currently ranked best in the league.   The Dolphins are averaging 177 rushing yards per-game, while they struggle with a 26th ranked passing game. They’ll do the same thing they do on offense that they’ve done to every other team in the league, but they must watch for the Saints passing game and deep threats. The Dolphins average 22.4ppg and give up 21.2ppg, while averaging 30.7ppg at home and allow 21.3ppg. They are 2-3 ATS and 3-2 over/under.
