San Diego (4-1, 1-1 V) was on their bye week in Week 6. In Week 5 they got a 29-24 win in Denver. QB Philip Rivers overcame two big turnovers, a banged-up backfield and a tough time in the red zone to guide the AFC West leaders to another hard-fought victory in what he calls his favorite road venue. Nick Novak kicked five field goals and Ryan Mathews ran for a career-best 125 yards despite a strained right calf. Chargers RB Mike Tolbert left the game with a concussion after gaining 49 yards on five carries and three catches. Now the Jets must host the San Diego Chargers off a short week, whereas the Chargers are fresh off a bye. San Diego will be well rested, and they will create a number of problems for Rex Ryan and the Jets.  Defensively, the Chargers feature the league's No. 20-rated road run defense, allowing 128 yards per game. New York, meanwhile, ranks No. 30 in rushing offense at home. Mark Sanchez needs to show he can win the big games, but Philip Rivers is ready to show the Chargers are over their lull period and they're ready to dominate.

New York (3-3, 3-0 H) beat the Miami Dolphins 24-6, at home, in Week 6. QB Mark Sanchez threw a touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes and ran for another score as Rex Ryan's Jets, who called this a "must-win" game. Sanchez finished 14 of 25 for 201 yards and the touchdown pass to Holmes, and Shonn Greene ran for 74 yards on 21 carries. The Jets' hope has to be that this win galvanizes the team, because if the same one shows up Sunday they will not beat the Chargers or anyone else on their schedule. The Jets offense sputtered, opening the game with four consecutive three-and-outs for the second straight week. And the Dolphins, even with backup quarterback Matt Moore, were moving the ball with some success. Offensively, the game matches up New York's No. 11-ranked offense (24.2 PPG) against a Chargers defense that ranks No. 10 at 21.8 PPG. The Jets passing attack has averaged 216.3 yards per game, more than the Chargers give up through the air (179.6 YPG on average). Get $50 in Free NFL Picks here.
