NFL Week 8 Predictions

by Matt Foust on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

The 2008 NFL season has nearly reached the halfway point and, frankly, not much seems right as I being to do research on potential NFL Week 8 Predictions. The Bills are in first place in the AFC East, the Titans are undefeated, the Cowboys have lost three straight, and the Chargers have a losing record through seven games. Who predicted any of that this summer? Short answer, nobody. NFL Week 8 Predictions

NFL Week 8 Predictions at Sportsbook.com has some more great opportunites as a few high profile opponents get set to do battle.

San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints (+3, Over/Under 47) London, England Wembley Stadium:
The Chargers and Saints have to be two of the more disappointing teams in the league given their pre-season expectations. However, they should provide more entertainment for the English crowd than the Giants and Dolphins did in last year's slop fest. Both of these clubs feature explosive offenses, but they have lacked consistency from week to week. One of these teams will get a chance to take advantage of the other's occasional ineptitude.

Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers (-4.5, Over/Under 43.5):
The Carolina Panthers wasted no time in recovering from their beating at Tampa Bay two weeks ago. They pounded the Saints at home on Sunday and demonstrated that they have what it takes to win the NFC South. The Cardinals will have a long flight to the East Coast but they should be well rested coming off their bye. Arizona is riding a two game winning streak, but they are just 1-2 on the road this season. If they can beat Carolina, then Cardinal fans can start anticipating a trip to the playoffs.

Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans (-4, Over/Under 42.5):
There is a little bit of role reversal going on in the AFC South as the Titans have replaced the Colts as the division's top dog. Tennessee got a nice tune up for this Monday night rivalry game by pasting the Chiefs at Arrowhead last weekend, moving their record to 6-0. The Colts, on the other, continued their Jekyll and Hyde year by getting drubbed in Green Bay. Indianapolis has failed to find any sort of rhythm on offense and their defense has been suspect at best. However, a victory over the Titans would give them a renewed sense of hope and keep them in the playoff mix at 4-3.
